I know it's been a while. I've no excuse! I just haven't got finished projects uploaded to here yet :( But here I am with some finished ATCs.

A card for a male...

...is often hard to design, don't you think? My male is into buses and I know he's going to get loads of 'vehicle/travel' cards so wanted something a little different. I do like Magnolia stamps so thought this would do nicely. With some different papers for my background I tried to tie the colours together. I want to get into stamping more so gave it a go for the sentiments. Not brill, but OK for a first'ish attempt :)

Thanks for looking :)

More Stitched ATCs :)

Well, they're easy to do, quick to finish and given away. What could be better? :)
first three are for a fantasy theme

Then 2 for a Scotland and Wales theme

For a monthly comp. The original plan was to theme each swap and I got this done early so I went with the theme for May which was flowers. Since then it's been decided that they monthly comp won't be themed so I reckon mine may well be the only flower from this comp LOL

The same design but finished differently gives 2 lovely finishes :) I'm currently doing the same design but plan on finishing it in yet a different way!

I've also created a few cards, just basic ones this month.

This month's ATC is 'Man's Best Friend

Thanks for looking, don't forget to leave a comment so I can visit your blog :)

A card for a boss....

who's leaving is always hard to make. Especially when it isn't the boss's choice :( What do you include? It needs to be big enough for the whole workforce to sign. Is it a formal or informal design? It was for my husband's boss and I didn't really know her.... so my hubs and I sat in my craft room and did some thinking. We looked at papers, embellishments and pictures he had printed out. Then my hubs left me to it, returning at periodic times to make sure it was in line with his vision (OK, he was just being nosey!) but we were really pleased with the finished product. It includes his boss's likes and hobbies and ties in nicely with the gifts she had been bought (Radley purse, beer, chocolate and ski stuff!)

I've been stitching ATCs mostly...

I've just found a niche :) I get to stitch, I get to paper craft and I get a relatively quick finish :) What could be better?! It's a challenge finding charts which a) are small enough b) match the paper crafting embellishments I have and c) are 'artistic' enough for me. I use hand dyed threads to add an element of artistic spirit to my work as well as hand dyed fabric whenever possible :)

If you are interested in giving these a go there's a new ATC Birthday Exchange Blog starting Click here so wander along, have a look and sign up :)

Some Stitched ATCs - well the ones I can show :)

These were for an Easter exchange.

I'm into my stitching at the moment. I've just started 'Feed Me!!' by Born to Shop. I love stitching the little ATCs though, as they're a quick finish and combine my paper crafting that I love as well :)

A couple of baby theme ATCs I made up

ATCs

I can't show my stitched ATCs as they are for exchanges but here are a couple of paper crafted ones

Vintage

Feelin' fruity

Completed WTP birth sampler

I started this last August!! It's now washed, ironed and framed and looks great! If I'm honest I did let it go to UFO for a couple of months over Christmas but it was always on my mind :)

Some old and some new....

I can't believe I forgot to blog my Christmas and anniversary cards to my husband! The Christmas card is a little basic, but I was thinking on the hop as I didn't have that long to get it made and out there LOL I do love Paper Nation decoupage stuff though.

For our anniversary card I'd been thinking for a while to use penguins as we were married on 27th December so they seemed fitting :) I had bought these toppers for Chrimbo cards but had then lost them (story of my craft room!). I've gone a bit crazy for corrugated card at the mo too. Hubs and I are pretty much on the same wavelength but even I was surprised when I opened my anniversary card off him and it showed 2 penguins on the front LMAO :)

Onto the new :)
I have made this card as a thankyou to our friends in Germany who helped us out unconditionally over New Year when we visited. It depicts our helpful fairy and elf :)

Then I've got a friend who just loves Winnie the Pooh so when I found this Heffalump from a magazine cover kit I'd forgotten all about, I thought I'd stitch it for her :)

I've been mainly stitching little things for ATCs over the past few days but I intend on doing the lettering on the WTP birth sampler I began for my friend's first born son. It's not something I'm looking forward to and I can tell because I've been putting it off for aaaaaages!!

stitched ATCs

For an exchange on The World of Cross Stitching site. I've really enjoyed the chance to experiment with different designs, fabrics and threads and they're so easy and quick to do too :)
